Mike Conley is one of the most respected players in professional basketball today, thanks to his leadership, consistency, and professionalism.

He was selected with the fourth pick in the 2007 NBA Draft by the Memphis Grizzlies. In 2019, after 12 seasons with the Grizzlies, Mike was traded to the Utah Jazz. In 2023, he was traded again to the Minnesota Timberwolves and has helped with the team’s success while providing a veteran presence and helping guide young star Anthony Edwards in any way he can.

How long Mike and Mary have been together and when they got married

Mike and Mary met in 2007 when they were both students at Ohio State University, but she didn’t know much about basketball at the time.

“We went out, and that was that. I never even saw one Ohio State basketball game ever,” Mary told Sportish.

That same year, Mike declared for the NBA Draft. They got together once Mary graduated from college in 2010. The couple tied the knot in July 2014, and former NBA star Greg Oden served as one of Mike’s groomsmen.

Mike has a reputation in the league as an all-around “good guy,” and to that, Mary says, “We always stay true to who we are, which is always to care about others, be there for your team, and put them first.” She added that “hearing the stories constantly from fans about how impactful my husband is to their child or their families or the community” always makes her proud.

Mary also shared that while she feels incredibly lucky to be married to him, “those are also my expectations that I set for who my spouse would be, who the father of my children would be.”

Mary’s career

Mary was born on July 29, 1987, in Kettering, Ohio, to parents Louis Peluso and Elizabeth Peluso. Her father served as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force. 

Mary was an athlete in high school as she played on the field hockey team.

At OSU, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.

She served on the Board of Directors for Methodist Healthcare Foundation with a focus on enhancing the Sickle Cell Center. It’s now called “The Mike and Mary Conley Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center.” She’s a fashion blogger and social media influencer as well, with more than 40,000 followers. Mary previously ran a YouTube channel and a blog from 2012 to 2022 under the name “Living LeReve.”

How many children the Conleys have

Mike and Mary have three children together and one on the way.

Their first child, son Myles Alex Conley, was born on July 29, 2016. Two years later, the couple welcomed their second son, Noah Conley, born in 2018, followed by their third son, Elijah Michael Conley, who was born on August 16, 2020.

Mary is currently pregnant with the couple’s fourth child.
