‘Love Is Blind’ pair Chelsea Griffin, Kwame Appiah split after 4 years

Another “Love is Blind” couple bites the dust.

Season 4 couple Chelsea Griffin and Kwame Appiah have confirmed that they are ending their marriage a week after what would have been their fourth wedding anniversary. Griffin said she wanted to directly address the split to the community that has shown them support since the season of the Netflix dating show premiered in 2023.

“It’s heartbreaking to share that our marriage is coming to an end,” she wrote. “This is not the outcome I hoped for, and I entered this relationship with deep love, commitment, and the intention of building a lasting life together.”

Despite pouring her “whole heart” into their marriage, Griffin said it was clear the two were “growing in different directions.”

“My mantra going forward is that I am strong, I am resilient, and there is still so much ahead of me,” she continued. “While this chapter is deeply painful, I trust that healing and clarity will come with time.”

Kwame Appiah says the couple’s ‘ultimate life goals’ didn’t align

In his statement also attached to the Instagram post, Appiah said their split stems from their “ultimate life goals” no longer feeling aligned.

“This isn’t something either of us ever imagined, and it’s been one of the hardest decisions to make,” he wrote. “We built a life filled with memories, laughter, and love that I’ll always be grateful for.”

The divorce is seemingly amicable, with Appiah writing that the two will “always have respect and care for each other in everything we shared.”

“We’re eternally grateful for all the love, support and purpose we gained during our time together,” he added. “Thank you all for the many years of support. Much love to you all.”

“Love Is Blind” fans began to take notice that the couple had recently posted less content on social media in recent months and a recent photo showed Griffin without a wedding ring, according to People. The couple seemingly shut down speculation of a split in an April 29 Instagram story showing the two enjoying the sun outside after some home renovations.

The pair met in 2022 on the dating show, a year before Season 4 premiered. The show follows strangers who interact and date without knowing what the other looks like, and decide whether they would like to get married in the end.
