Ronda Rousey scowls at dancing Gina Carano during final pre-fight faceoff
Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano locked eyes for the final time before their superfight on Netflix at Friday’s ceremonial weigh-ins.
Returning to the ring for the first time since 2009 to fight Ronda Rousey on Saturday, May 16, Gina Carano became an actress, starring in a number of high-profile films and programs in the 2010s – notably, The Fast and the Furious franchise.
Carano played Riley Hicks in “Fast & Furious 6,” a military veteran who was brought in to help Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) investigate an attack. She joins up with the whole “family” over the course of the movie, getting involved in some memorable fight sequences. Hicks reveals herself as a double agent and is eventually shot by a harpoon gun in the film’s climactic sequence on a runway.
While other characters in the franchise have returned from an apparent death, Carano has not appeared in any film (they’re at Furious X) since “Fast & Furious 6” came out in 2013.
