PSA: here’s everything you need to know about MAFS USA ahead of the UK air date

MAFS fans, we’ve got some good news; if you’re worried about what to watch on TV now that Married At First Sight Australia has finished, fear not because MAFS USA is coming to UK screens.
While we’re not sure any series will ever beat series 13 of MAFS Australia, if anyone could give it a run for its money then you’d think it would be the American lot. After all, their Real Housewives franchise is 10/10 compared to RHOCheshire and RHOLondon (no shade).
So, without further ado here’s everything you need to know about MAFS USA…
When does Married At First Sight USA start?
MAFS USA series 19 will air in the UK on Monday 18 May 2026 at 9pm on E4. However, unlike the UK version and Australia version, MAFS USA will air ever weekday (yep, five days a week) at 9pm on E4.

It’s safe to say that viewers are divided about the upcoming series as one person wrote, ‘I’m American and that version doesn’t come close to UK and AUS.’
Someone else said, ‘The US version is much less dramatic – those who only watch for the drama are going to be v disappointed.’
A third commented, ‘MAFS US is a snooze fest compared to UK & AU. There are no weekly dinners or commitment ceremonies, nor are there many opportunities for the couples to even mingle with one another. It’s an absolute waste of time IMO.’

One more added on Reddit, ‘We’ve just seen that advert. My wife’s eyes lit up & I looked on in horror. How am I supposed to kick this addiction if they won’t cut the supply? 😭.’
Is Married At First Sight USA different to the UK and Australia version?
It sure is and now we can understand why viewers are divided about the American series.
The UK and Australian version are always super dramatic; we’ve got the dinner parties, the commitment ceremonies, the arguments on and off camera – it’s hard to keep up. However, with the USA version, each season focuses on couples from different states. So while the UK and AUS version are contestants from all over (MAFS Australia even had Danny Hewitt who is from East London), series 19 of MAFS USA will only feature couples from Austin.

Not only is that different, but unlike the UK and AUS series that has nine couples – and that’s excluding the intruders – the American series only has five couples.
