CSK vs SRH, IPL 2026: How much the Chennai Super Kings have set the SunRisers Hyderabad to win?

Meanwhile, the toss went the Super Kings’ way as Ruturaj Gaikwad sent the Orange Army into bat, citing the Chepauk surface as a dry one. None of the Super Kings’ batters reached fifty but Dewald Brevis top-scored with 44, while Kartik Sharma (32) and Shivam Dube (26) chipped in with valuable contributions to take the five-time champions to 180. At the time of writing this, match was at knife’s edge as the SunRisers required another 38 runs off the final 24 deliveries.

With 12 points in as many games, it’s worth noting that the Super Kings may not qualify for the playoffs even with 16 points under their belt. Firstly, they must beat the SunRisers and the Gujarat Titans to collect the 16 points. Secondly, the five-time champions should hope for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to beat the SunRisers or for the Rajasthan Royals to lose at least one of their two games. If the Royals win both and SRH lose to CSK but beat RCB, the Super Kings must have a better net run-rate than one of them.

If the Super Kings finish with 14 points, they can still qualify if the Royals lose both their remaining games, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) beat the Punjab Kings the Kolkata Knight Riders beat the Delhi Capitals but lose to the Mumbai Indians. A win for the SunRisers on Monday is likely to ensure their qualification for the playoffs and the Gujarat Titans.
