A Jenner-Elordi-Chalamet Double Date Has Entered The Canon

On Sunday night, the universe observed Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Jacob Elordi, and Timothée Chalamet at concurrent intersections in space-time, and in the exact manner that the prophecy foretold—flash photographed through the tinted windows of an Escalade leaving Michael Rubin’s NFL Rookie Party. It was very Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, getting into Paris’s car circa 2006.

In April (more specifically, after the Bieberchella after-party weekend one), Kylie’s efforts to play matchmaker for her sister succeeded when “several sources” witnessed Jenner and Elordi “making out all over each other.” After the festivities, a source came forward to People to confirm that Jenner and Elordi had been “hanging out and getting to know each other the last couple of months.” So, it was only a matter of time before we got the Jenner-Elordi-Chalamet double date to end all double dates, and that time came on Sunday, after the foursome left Michael Rubin’s NFL Rookie Party.

Based on the photographs obtained by Duexmoi, Elordi was behind the wheel using the sun visor as a shield, while Kendall, in the front passenger seat, turned away from the cameras. Kylie and Chalamet were in the back seat, along with Jenner’s pal Renell Medrano, and if not for X users like “timothee chalamet nation,” I probably never would have noticed the 1/16th of Chalamet’s left eyebrow that was caught by the cameras or known that it was his orange iPhone 17 Max shielding the flashes. What’s wrong, Timmy? Can’t spare another iPhone 17 Max to shield Kylie?

The 20-year trend cycle would suggest that we are indeed back to a time when celebrities getting flash photographed in cars leaving parties is the norm. (Recession indicator? Probably.)

Last week, TMZ and Duexmoi obtained photos of Elordi and Kendall having a private Hawaiian getaway, where they were photographed drinking rosé straight out of the bottle on the beach (yes, I’m jealous. OK? ) and grabbing breakfast at a beachside shack. But thankfully, they were back in town over the weekend for the prophetic double date to come true.

The balance of the universe is restored, and moreover, I’m glad to see that Elordi is “recovering” from the “foot injury” that forced him to drop out of the Cannes Film Festival jury. Based on the fact that he was gallivanting on the beach and operating a vehicle, he either recovered just in time for Cannes, or his foot was never really injured, and he was just calling out of work to go on vacation with his new boo and to Michael Rubin’s NFL Rookie party. Can you blame him?
