Manchester City officially conceded the Premier League title on Tuesday and Arsenal are champions, now one very big question remains: Will Pep Guardiola step down this summer?

BOURNEMOUTH 1-1 MAN CITY — Video highlights & recap

Below is the latest Guardiola reaction, speaking after Man City’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth in what is expected to be his final away game in charge after a decade of dominance. Widespread reports have claimed that Guardiola is set to leave the club and be replaced by former Chelsea boss (and Guardiola assistant) Enzo Maresca. Guardiola was asked, but refused to tip his hand after the game.

Pep Guardiola reaction — What did Man City boss say about his future, end of title race?

“I would say I have one more year of contract. From my experience, when you announced whatever you announce during the competition is a bad, bad result. The first person I have to talk to is my chairman, because we both decide when we finish the season. We will see and we will talk, simple as that, and that’s when we will make the decision.”

So, the decision has not been made yet? “I have one more year of contract. I will not tell you here because I have to talk with my chairman, my players and my staff. … I’m the happiest man on the planet to be in this club. This club is extraordinary.”

“The players gave everything, absolutely all of the season fighting through difficult, difficult, difficult circumstances until the end. We were close to arrive in the last moment, but on behalf of all Manchester City and my team, [we] congratulate Arsenal and Mikel [Arteta] for this Premier League. They deserve it.”

“A tough game — we knew it. They have 12 days to prepare [for the game], to play with energy. The players up front have this energy that they had, [while we played] three days, three days, three days. We fought, first half was really good. Second half, we started really good. … At the end, we find a goal, but too late.”

Goal-scorer Erling Haaland, on not winning the title

“Of course we are not happy. I think everyone in the club that [will] be here next season, should feel a big fire in their stomach. This should be motivation for us to go next season and take the Premier League back, because now it has been two years without winning it. It should be the biggest motivation, for me and for every single person in Manchester City.”
