Service interrupted on métro’s Green Line for the second day in a row

For the second day in a row, service was interrupted for more than an hour on the Montreal métro’s Green Line between Angrignon and Lionel-Groulx stations.
The Société de transport de Montréal said the service outage on Wednesday, which began before 2:45 p.m., was due to a train breakdown and that service was expected to resume around 3:30, later extended to 3:45 and then 4:15. It reported at 3:58 p.m. that service was slowly resuming.
On Tuesday, the same section of the métro was down for nearly two hours during rush hour due to an incident at Jolicoeur station involving a person in distress.
Meanwhile, the Réseau express métropolitain reported an interruption, also around 3:30 p.m., to a section of its network including both the Deux-Montagnes and Anse-à-l’Orme branch. Service was shut down between Montpellier station and Des Sources and Île Bigras stations because of a “rolling stock problem.” Service was expected to resume around 4:15 p.m.
