It’s time to get right, again.
Emerson Hancock takes the mound for the Mariners. Once an auto-punt game, Hancock has been quite reliable this year, turning in a few gems and a few otherwise decent outings. The Mariners will need him to again Wednesday as they look to pick up a series win following last night’s hard-feelings loss.
The rest of the Mariners lineup… is changed since it was first posted. J.P. Crawford was initially slated to leadoff and play short stop, but he’s out for a second straight game. He left Sunday’s game after getting hit on the tricep with a fastball, and it appears that injury is lingering. One interesting pregame note is it sounds like he’s working over at third base, at the behest of himself and his agent.
With Crawford out, Cole Young moves to leadoff, Colt Emerson will play shortstop, and Patrick Wisdom will join the lineup at third base.
