M25 drivers are facing traffic chaos this afternoon following a multi-vehicle crash. The clockwise section of the UK’s busiest motorway between junction 24 (Potters Bar) and junction 25 (Waltham Cross) has one of four lanes closed.
Emergency services have rushed to the scene. Drivers have been warned they face delays of nearly an hour, with traffic stretching back eight miles. Motorway camera footage shows traffic at a complete standstill. National Highways East wrote on X: “The M25 clockwise between J24 (PottersBar) and J25 (WalthamCross) has 1 (of 4) lane closed due to a multi vehicle collision. Emergency services continue to work at the scene. There are delays of 52 minutes and 8 miles of congestion on the approach.”
