Dakota Johnson Shares Sweet Hug With Valentino Designer Alessandro Michele During Rome Dinner

Dakota Johnson is stepping out in style with one of her longtime fashion-world friends.

The 36-year-old Fifty Shades of Grey star was all smiles as she reunited with fashion designer Alessandro Michele for a dinner outing on Friday night (May 22) in Rome, Italy.

The actress warmly embraced the 53-year-old Valentino creative director as the two were photographed together after their evening meal.

For the outing, Dakota kept things chic in a white short-sleeve top paired with a black midi skirt and a black knit sweater draped over her shoulders. She completed the look with black shoes, delicate jewelry, and a cherry-red leather shoulder bag.

Dakota has maintained a longtime relationship with Valentino thanks to her close friendship with Alessandro and her role as a Global Brand Ambassador for the luxury fashion house.

Over the years, Alessandro, who previously served as Gucci’s creative director before joining Valentino, has dressed Dakota for several major red carpet appearances and fashion events.

Earlier this year during Paris Fashion Week in January, Dakota joined a star-studded front row at the Valentino Haute Couture Week Spring/Summer 2026 Show.

Later this year, Dakota will return to the big screen in the highly anticipated thriller Verity, based on Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel. The upcoming movie also stars Anne Hathaway and Josh Hartnett. Watch the steamy trailer for the buzzy adaptation!
