Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are getting married soon — some people say it’s June 13, while others claim the wedding is on July 3. No matter what the date is, there are a few guests who are upset about the couple’s invitation rule.
For some guests, they are getting a plus one, but others will have to attend alone — and not everyone loves that idea.
“My invite did not let me bring a plus one,” an insider complained to the Daily Mail. “I mean, what am I supposed to do? Go alone? That is so awkward. I don’t think I am going to attend because I don’t want to go by myself, and I am not sure I will know too many people there. I mean, sorry, I am not friends with Gigi and Bella Hadid!”

The source outed themselves as a “single woman” and added, “I get it, the venue can probably allow for only so many people, but it’s not the best feeling. It’s the wedding of the year, but I may sit this one out because I am shy.”
It can feel uncomfortable to attend a wedding alone, but given the A-list magnitude of the event, the invited guest might want to rethink her stance.
Plus, wedding expert Elaine Swan brought up a solid point to Essence magazine about the possibilities for romance.
“Too often, people think about bringing a date. Usually, people invited to weddings hold a special place in the lives of the couple,” she said in June 2023 to the media outlet. “They’re going to bring the cream of the crop of people they like. That could be a really nice place to meet people, but we missed our chance.”
The Daily Mail source might find herself seated next to a single NFL player or someone connected to the music industry. The possibilities are endless! And remember, “this is an important day for the couple,” says Swan.
While the wedding rule upset at least one of Swift and Kelce’s guest, they still have bragging rights about making the cut for the Hollywood and NFL party of the year.
