Fans heading to Rogers Centre will be soaking up the sun tonight as the stadium opens its roof for the first time this season.
The Blue Jays are set to take on the Miami Marlins at 7:07 p.m. and the temperature is expected to be at 21 C for first pitch before dipping slightly to a low of 19 C a few hours later.
The official Toronto Blue Jays account announced the opening of the roof on X on Monday afternoon after teasing the possibility earlier in the day.
Pitcher Kevin Gausman also joined in on the fun earlier on Monday.
“If the roof is closed tonight we riot,” he wrote on social media.
The Blue Jays opened their roof for the first time on May 15 last year, so this year’s opening comes 10 days later.
