Over the NEC and the nearby Hilton hotel, the event will use more than 72,000 sq m of floor space and Denning said that makes it “genuinely one of the world’s largest shows and cements our position on that world stage”.
The expo features all forms of tabletop games – which are games played on a table, such as board games, roleplaying games, or miniature wargames.
The event, from Friday to Sunday, attracts exhibitors from around the world and also includes shows, seminars, re-enactors and cosplay.
One of the attractions for many visitors was the chance to try new games, or ones they have not seen before, organisers said.
