Madden NFL, College Football 27 Reveal Date Announced for EA Sports Opening Drive Showcase

EA Sports is revamping how it hypes up two of its biggest annual entries.
The company said Friday it’s kicking off a new “Opening Drive” on June 4 to reveal details for both College Football 27 and Madden NFL 27:
The releases of the two games fall relatively close on the calendar. Last year, College Football 26 dropped on July 10 and was followed by Madden on Aug. 14. With that in mind, it makes sense to tie some of the pre-release info together.
Teasing a level of integration between College Football and Madden will inevitably lead fans to wonder if that’s part of a concerted strategy.
In the old NCAA Football games, users had the option of importing draft classes into Madden. That feature has been missing ever since EA Sports resurrected its college football series. Perhaps it’s finally coming back.
Maybe College Football 27 and Madden 27 will boast a deeper connection between their Road to Glory and Superstar modes.
If nothing else, lifting the curtain on headline additions for the next installments will garner plenty of buzz on their own.
