DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) – Fire crews are currently on scene at the Dubuque Metropolitan Area Landfill getting a fire under control.
The Dubuque Fire Department was called to the landfill around 7:30 Sunday morning. It responded with seven units but needed help from Asbury and Peosta Fire Departments to help with water supply.
As of 9 a.m., the fire was under control, with crews working to address small hot spots. Officials said there was no threat to the community and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
