What to expect from Cubs vs. Cardinals on Sunday Night Baseball

The NL Central is a tight race at the moment, and the Cubs and the Cardinals are virtually tied in wins and losses so far this season. Even when you look at the Cardinals’ home record and the Cubs’ away record, it’s hard to find a place where either team has the advantage. They’ve both run in the middle of the pack so far this season in terms of stats, and even the Cardinals home field record is right down the middle.

So, what are the difference makers? St. Louis is starting left-hander Matthew Liberatore on Sunday, who leads the team in strikeouts, though he has given up double digit home runs so far this season. On the batting side, the Cardinals also seem to have an edge with Jordan Walker, who has more than 40 RBI through the season so far. He could give the Cardinals offense the edge they need, especially if Liberatore can keep the Cubs’ batting corps in check. Still, this is anyone’s game, so tune in to see which team can pull out a win.
