Suspected Sandy shooter identified; faces multiple murder and kidnapping charges

The suspect in the Sandy shooting has been identified as Bryan Andrew Moore, KATU sources confirmed.

According to the Clackamas County Jail website, Moore is facing three counts of third-degree murder, two counts of first-degree kidnapping, and one count of felon in possession of a firearm related to this incident.

Sandy police and other agencies responded to reports of a domestic dispute and shooting in the 39500 block of Evans Street just before 4 p.m. Sunday.

When they arrived at the scene on Evans Street near Ross Avenue, officers came under fire, Sand y Police Chief Patrick Huskey said. They returned fire and one officer was shot. Medical crews later transported the officer via LifeFlight to a hospital with “multiple” gunshot wounds.

Huskey told reporters that multiple victims were found dead at the scene. One police officer was also shot and they were flown to a hospital by LifeFlight. Huskey said that officer is expected to survive.

Moore was taken into custody Sunday evening.
