Odell Beckham Jr. Signs Giants Contract, NY’s Updated Depth Chart and Salary Cap

The New York Giants signed veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., bringing the team’s former star back to the Big Apple.
Beckham celebrated the news on Instagram: “Nothin was ever given to me I worked for everything I have. Never give up on urself. Home Team i’m back…. Let’s get itttt 🕺🏿”
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport first reported the deal.
This news comes after the Giants signed Braxton Berrios to a deal on Monday following Gunner Olszewski’s injury, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport later reported that JuJu Smith-Schuster also agreed to a deal.
Here’s a look at the team’s updated wide receiver room after the signings:
According to Over the Cap, the Giants had $10.5 million cap space as of Monday.
Beckham previously spent the first five seasons of his career with New York from 2014-18. He sits at No. 2 on the Giants’ all-time receiving list.
While Beckham’s Pro Bowl days are in the rearview mirror and he hasn’t played in the NFL since the 2024 season, there seemed to be mutual interest between the 33-year-old and New York prior to the signing.
Beckham traveled to the NFL’s annual meetings in Arizona to talk with Giants head coach John Harbaugh as well as other members of their front office.
The team eventually brought him in for an individual workout and a physical on April 20.
New York will hope that he can help bolster its receiving corps, especially considering star wideout Malik Nabers is recovering from a torn ACL.
Beckham didn’t play in 2025, as he served a six-game suspension after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs.
He last appeared in nine contests with the Miami Dolphins in 2024, catching just nine passes for 55 yards. It’s worth noting that Beckham hauled in 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns when given more playing time on the Baltimore Ravens during his 2023 campaign, though.
As the Giants look to improve upon their 4-13 finish last season, Beckham could establish himself as a consistent target for Jaxson Dart in 2026.
