Robert De Niro Delivers A Trump Jab So Obvious He Didn’t Need To Name Him

Robert De Niro slammed Donald Trump on the opening night of the Tribeca Festival on Wednesday without mentioning the president by name.
“You know who I’m talking about,” the Oscar-winning actor told the audience after contrasting what he described as the “pull people together” ethos of the New York film festival he co-founded in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks to the “monstrous leaders” who “are trying to force us apart for their own immoral, cruel and corrupt purposes,” reported Variety.
De Niro has repeatedly condemned Trump, describing him as an “existential threat to our freedoms and security,” a “philistine president,” a “monster” and a “tyrant.”
He has also called him a “jerk” and a “clown.”
Most recently, De Niro squeezed in another jab at Trump during one of the final segments of Stephen Colbert’s “Late Show.”
Trump, meanwhile, has repeatedly lashed out at De Niro on social media and even threatened to deport the actor despite his being a U.S. citizen.
