People in southern Manitoba were subjected to another evening of tornado warnings on Wednesday, one day after three twisters touched down in the region.

The afternoon began with a series of severe thunderstorm yellow alerts covering much of the southern part of the province.

Things soon escalated, with Environment and Climate Change Canada issuing several tornado red alerts, mostly clustered south of Winnipeg, including Starbuck, Morris and Steinbach.

As of 10 p.m. CT, all of the tornado alerts had been lifted, with only the province’s southeast corner still covered by severe thunderstorm yellow alerts.

For current conditions, see Environment Canada’s weather alerts map.
