Matchday 2 of the UEFA Champions League continues on Wednesday, Oct. 1, and one of the first matches of the day sees Copenhagen taking on FK Qarabağ at Tofik Bakhramov Stadium in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Copenhagen earned a 2-2 draw against Bayer Leverkusen in Matchday 1 thanks to a quick goal from Jordan Larsson in the 9′ to open scoring. Leverkusen tied the game in the 82′, and then Robert got a goal to put Copenhagen ahead in the 87′. But that lead was short lived as Pantelis Hatzidiakos committed an own goal in the 90′+1′ that left the club taking home only 1 point instead of 3.
Qarabağ did earn 3 points to open Champions League play thanks to a 3-2 win over Benfica. Qarabağ went down 2-0 by the 16′, but chipped into the lead, first with a Leandro Andrade goal in the 30′ and then a a Camilo Duran equalizer in the 48′. Olexiy Kashchuk then provided the winner in the 86′.
