Daniel Cormier posts, deletes DMs from Eric Trump asking about ‘rigged’ UFC White House fights

Daniel Cormier has revealed Donald Trump’s son Eric has tried to pinch him for insider betting information on the UFC Freedom 250 fights.

UFC Hall of Famer and color commentator Cormier, who is scheduled to call the seven-fight card from cageside along with Joe Rogan and Jon Anik, posted, then deleted some direct messages with Eric, where he was asked if any bouts have a “rigged” result.

According to the screenshots shared by Cormier, Eric sought information on potential injuries around the athletes, particularly Diego Lopes, who is the betting favorite over Steve Garcia in the opening bout of the lineup.

Cormier’s quickly-deleted post was screenshotted by multiple accounts on X, and didn’t take long to gain viral traction.

See the full exchange below, which was captioned with Cormier stating he refuses “to stay silent” and will “not tolerate this type of insider behavior and shame on anyone trying to ruin this beautiful event.”

Eric: “Hey Daniel, I’m gonna be attending UFC 250 tomorrow, saw you were casting, hope to see you there!”

Cormier: “Yo eric didn’t expect a dm from you, excited to meet you and the family much love brother!!”

Eric: “Anything you can tell me about the fighters tomorrow? Who you got winning?”

Cormier: “Haha i like to stay unbaised but I love to watch nickal fight”

Eric: “You placing any bets?”

Cormier: “Nah i’m actually not allowed to bet on any cards or anything”

Eric: “Are any of the fighters injured that you know of?”

Cormier: “I’m not quite sure why youre asking me this but i think theyre all in good shape..”

Eric: “I’ll just cut to the chase. Are any of the fights tomorrow rigged? I’ve been eyeing the Lopes fight and I think an upset wouldn’t be too unrealistic. $$”

Cormier: “No none of our fights rigged and honestly I am appaled that you would even ask me something like that.”

It’s unknown why Cormier deleted the posts, and he has not re-shared anything since.

UFC officials did not immediately respond to MMA Junkie’s request for comment on Cormier’s post and allegations toward Eric Trump.

After a weather delay, the UFC Freedom 250 fights, starting with Lopes vs. Garcia, is tentatively slated to start around 9 p.m. ET (Paramount+)
