Stolen London car found in Oxfordshire as cops warn second-hand buyers

PC Little of Thames Valley Police identified the vehicle while out patrolling on Thursday June 11.
The vehicle had recently been purchased but shortly afterwards the buyer noticed some discrepancies with the vehicle and informed the DVLA that it might have bought a clone.
Checks uncovered the vehicle had been stolen in London earlier this earlier this year and had in fact been a clone.
The rural crime taskforce reminded second-hand vehicle buyers to conduct full background checks, physical check of vehicle ID, including stamped VINs and for obvious signs of tampering.
It also warned buyers to be wary of sellers requesting cash payments, stating if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
