The New York Knicks’ first NBA championship in more than half a century has spurred fans to go on a record-breaking shopping frenzy, according to sports merchandise giant Fanatics. The Knicks clinched the title by beating the San Antonio Spurs 94-90 in Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Saturday night to win the series 4-1.

Knicks championship gear has become the top seller across all sports within the first 24 hours of a title in Fanatics history, the company said, breaking a record previously held by the 2025 Philadelphia Eagles just after beating the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. The Knicks are also on pace to become the top championship team for total sales in Fanatics history, surpassing the sales record set when the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series in 2016.

Sales of Knicks championship gear has already more than doubled that of Fanatics’ previous best-selling NBA Finals champion: the LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers in 2020.

Immediately following the Knicks’ win over the Spurs on Saturday night, Fanatics released more than 300 championship-branded products. The company took in more than 8,000 orders per minute after the Knicks’ 4-1 series win, also a record.

Top sellers predictably include championship T-shirts and hats, including the Nike locker room T-shirt ($45) worn by the players. Some of the more unique items being sold include a Knicks NBA Finals champion Swarovski crystal leather jacket for $10,000 and a “Seinfeld” inspired “Summer of the Knicks” T-shirt featuring an image of a shirtless George Costanza wearing Knicks shorts for $42.

Exclusive NBA trading card license holder Topps, which is owned by Fanatics, has also produced several cards to commemorate the Knicks’ title as part of the brand’s print-to-order Topps Now line. That includes a one-of-a-kind quintuple autographed card of the Knicks’ starting lineup: Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart. The card will be randomly included in one order of the 16-card NBA champions team set, which is being sold for $79.99 until June 20. The print run of the set will be determined by how many orders Topps receives before that deadline.

The Knicks’ championship parade will be held on Thursday in Manhattan.
