B-52 bomber crashes at Edwards Air Force Base in California

A U.S. bomber aircraft crashed Monday shortly after takeoff at Edwards Air Force Base in Southern California with eight people on board, the service said in a statement.
The crash occurred during a testing flight of the B-52 Stratofortress. In their statement, Air Force officials said that the crash occurred at 11:20 a.m. local time and that “initial indications are that the crash was not survivable.”
