‘Elf,’ ‘Couples Retreat’ actor jailed with no bond after Florida arrest

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — An actor best known for roles in “Elf” and “Couples Retreat” is behind bars with no bond after being arrested in Florida on contempt of court charges, according to jail records.
Faizon Love, 58, who played Gimbels store manager Wanda in “Elf,” resort employee Shane in “Couples Retreat”, and Big Worm from “Friday” was taken into custody late Tuesday night, June 16, in Hillsborough County and booked into the Falkenburg Road Jail in Tampa just before midnight. As of Thursday, he remains in custody.
Authorities say he is facing two counts of contempt of court tied to a warrant connected to a case with an offense date of May 15, though officials have not released details about what led to the charges.
