Police arrest suspect in downtown business break-in

Police say multiple items were stolen from a business in the 300 block of Queen Street East after an overnight break-in
A person has been charged after a downtown business was broken into earlier this week, according to police.
Officers were dispatched to a business in the 300 block of Queen Street East on the morning of June 17 after 911 communicators received a report of a break and enter.
An investigation revealed that an individual broke into the business a few hours earlier and stole multiple items.
Officers located and arrested the accused shortly before noon that day.
Blake Hudson, 43, has been charged with:
- Break, Enter a Place – Commit Indictable Offence
- Theft under $5,000
None of the allegations have been tested in court and Hudson is considered innocent until proven guilty.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 31, 2026.
