I wanted to put all of our collective work in one place, and to give everyone a chance to come hang out during the draft.
We’ve had a ton of draft work here at Raptors Republic. Some pieces to read as you wait for the Raptors to pick!
So far, the draft has moooostly been chalk. The Dallas Mavericks just picked Morez Johnson Jr., which is a little early (and one of my preferred targets for the Raptors), but otherwise it’s mostly been the highly ranked guards that have been selected. Still a number of picks before the Raptors are on the stage, and there are still a boatload of strong targets remaining.
The Warriors just snatched up Yaxel Lendeborg, and the Thunder went for Aday Mara. Virtually everyone that Brendan profiled remains on the board, so someone he loves is gonna be available. Now Steinbach at 14. So there’s four picks before the Raptors, and quite a few very strong guards still available. The Raptors are probably feeling fairly confident at the moment.
We’re getting closer and closer to Stirtz and Philon both being available for Toronto. Or at least one of them. NEVER MIND. Stirtz is gone. We’re getting close, here.
I’m starting to get very committed to Philon or Okorie. Very, very committed. A bunch of trades, none that matter for Toronto, and Okorie gone. Philon just has to survive one more pick. And it LOOKS as though Anderson is 18.
