Diomande has been lighting up the 2026 FIFA World Cup after an impressive season in Bundesliga, and interest in the 19-year-old is heating up.The Mirror notes: “Liverpool’s hopes of signing Diomande could be dealt a significant blow, with PSG reportedly monitoring the 19-year-old’s situation. The European champions have yet to make an official approach for the winger, but that could soon change as they assess their options in the transfer market.

“Before committing to any major arrivals, PSG are expected to trim their squad. According to Fabrizio Romano, Atletico Madrid are in talks to sign Kang-in Lee, with negotiations over personal terms said to be progressing positively and an agreement edging closer.

“Should that deal go through, it could pave the way for PSG to intensify their interest in Diomande. Reports suggest, however, that the French giants will only formalise their pursuit if they receive encouragement from the player regarding a potential move to Paris.”

Villa drop asking price for Rogers

Aston Villa have little hope of keeping Arsenal target and England star Morgan Rogers, it has been claimed, and have even dropped their asking price.

“The Gunners have made signing a new left winger the top focus for sporting director Andrea Berta this summer,” reads the article.

“Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard both had long spells without scoring last season and Mikel Arteta believes his options in that position could be significantly upgraded.

“Arteta is a big admirer of Rogers and would be the manager’s dream signing.

“Aston Villa’s difficult financial position – in part down to overspending on player wages and transfer fees relative to their revenue – is said to have opened the door for Rogers to be sold.

“It has previously been reported that Villa would demand a fee in excess of the £100 million Manchester City paid for former star Jack Grealish in 2021.

“But Sky Sports believe that a figure closer to £80m could tempt Villa’s hand.

“The Midlands club are said to have accepted they have little say in keeping Rogers, even after a fourth-placed finish and a return to the Champions League.”

Chelsea revive interest in Maignan

Chelsea have revived their interest in AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan this summer, according to a report in The Sun.

The Blues were strongly linked with the France international last year, but a move never materialised, and he has since signed a new contract with the Serie A giants until 2031.

The Sun, citing MilanNews24, notes: “Maignan – who is currently at the World Cup with France – is open to an exit after the exit of manager Max Allegri.

“The report adds that Chelsea have reached out to Maignan’s entourage to test the waters.

“It says they are holding talks with the player’s agent Jonathan Kebe to assess whether a deal could be done.

“Chelsea are yet to make an offer, the report says, but new boss Ruben Amorim sees Maignan as key to his project and would be reluctant to let him leave.

“The Blues are continuing to monitor his situation, it goes on, as new manager Xabi Alonso looks to revamp his options between the sticks.”

Summerville’s World Cup performances catching attention

Manchester United are closely monitoring Crysencio Summerville’s 2026 FIFA World Cup performances amid fears his value could rocket.

The Red Devils have been closely linked with a move for the West Ham United star, who is likely to leave following the club’s relegation.

“Manchester United may well be squirming each time Crysencio Summerville gets on the scoresheet at the World Cup. The West Ham forward is firmly on the Red Devils’ radar as a summer transfer target,” writes the Mirror.

“With the Hammers having dropped out of the Premier League last season, the former Leeds United man is widely expected to depart the London Stadium before the new campaign begins. A fee of £50million has been the figure consistently circulating over recent weeks for the Dutch star.

“Yet following his contribution in the Netherlands’ emphatic 5-1 thrashing of Sweden on Saturday evening – coming hot on the heels of a stunning strike in their 2-2 stalemate with Japan – his valuation is climbing with every impressive performance he delivers.

“It is understood there is no buyout clause in the former Leeds man’s contract, leaving the Hammers free to name their price.

“Should Summerville maintain his current goalscoring form, that asking price is only likely to rise. United could also face stiff competition, with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly joining the race for the 24-year-old.”
