Ecuador vs. Germany betting odds

Germany are the obvious favourites here at -165, but they are already through on points with a first-place finish, which could affect their lineup and standard of play, giving Ecuador a fighting chance at +260 to win the match. A draw is priced at +290, and the over 2.5 is expected at -125 compared to an under 2.5 at +100.

Ecuador vs. Germany predicted starting XI lineups

Ecuador have set up with a three-back for both group stage matches so far, and are almost certain to do it again given they are desperate for goals. They lost in their 3-4-3 setup to Ivory Coast on the 14th, and readjusted to a 3-5-2 against Curacao on the 20th, with 0 goals to show for in both games. They could scrap their formation completely, but expect the 3-4-3 to come out once again with Valencia the target man.

Ecuador predicted starting XI (3-4-3):

– John Yeboah (LW) – Enner Valencia (CF) – Gonzalo Plata (RW) –

Pedro Vite (LM) – Moisés Caicedo (CM) – Alan Franco (CM) – Alan Minda (RM)

Piero Hincapié (CB) – Willian Pacho (CB) – Joel Ordóñez (CB)

— Herman Galindez (GK) —

Germany do seek another win here due to their high standards, but will almost certainly make significant changes to the starting line-up to rest their main squad. A 4-2-3-1 formation is probable with Deniz Undav getting the spot over Kai Havertz, with Nick Woltemade coming on later in the game.

Germany predicted starting XI (4-2-3-1):

— Deniz Undav (ST) —

Jamal Musiala (LM) – Florian Wirtz (CAM) – Leeroy Sane (RM)

Leon Goretzka (CDM) – Aleksandar Pavlovic (CDM)

Nathaniel Brown (LB) – Antonio Rudiger (CB) – Jonathan Tah (CB) – Joshua Kimmich (RB)

— Oliver Baumann (GK) —

Ecuador FIFA World Cup odds and news

Ecuador need something special here as the talented South American side has yet to even score a goal despite their 36 total shots and 16 on target this tournament. They were very unlucky in both their games, losing on a late 90′ goal to Ivory Coast, and failing to find the back of the net against Curacao.

Unless the squad gets an early first-half goal, it’ll likely be curtains for their 2026 World Cup. Captain Enner Valencia could be the hero for his nation as he’s set to score anytime at +235, with the team’s only real upside being that Germany may not go full throttle in this one.

Germany FIFA World Cup odds and news

The Germans now enter the Round of 32 to face a third-place team after winning both their first two matches, with nine goals for and two goals allowed. While the side was able to bounce back against Curacao with six goals to obliterate a questionable 1-1 scoreline early on, Deniz Undav managed to save the day in match two against Ivory Coast with a late 90+4′ brace game-winner to send his nation through.

The team will most likely rest many of their starters. Any key players who start the match won’t see a full 90 minutes of play. Their bench has major depth, so the side won’t fret too much about the scoreline here, although they’d like to earn another win. Both Kai Havertz and Deniz Undav lead the way in odds to score anytime at +195 each.

Ecuador vs. Germany player odds and props

  • Nick Woltemade (GER) to score anytime (+215)

Woltemade concluded a fantastic season with both Newcastle and Germany this year despite injury, as this game sets up perfectly for him to get playtime and score his first goal of the tournament.

  • Enner Valencia (ECU) to score anytime (+230)

Ecuador’s main man, Enner Valencia, leads his nation with 49 international goals, six in the World Cup, and with his team’s future on the line, he’s bound to score here.

World Cup 2026 bracket and futures

  • Odds to qualify – Ecuador (+300)
  • Odds to win the World Cup – Germany (+1300), Ecuador (+20000)

Ecuador vs. Germany score prediction

Germany’s second-string lineup is still too good with the amount of defenders, midfielders, and attacking depth, and they will probably dominate the game in possession. However, Ecuador will be playing with such high urgency that they will likely score at some point in the game. With that said, though, count on a 3-2 Germany win, with the European nation showcasing their powerful roster, as Ecuador will make their unfortunate exit from this year’s World Cup.
