The Washington Capitals have acquired a fourth-round pick in the 2027 NHL Draft from the New Jersey Devils for defenseman Declan Chisholm, senior vice president and general manager Chris Patrick announced today.
The Capitals now own 21 picks over the next three drafts. Washington has four picks in the 2026 NHL Draft, nine picks in the 2027 NHL Draft and eight picks in the 2028 NHL Draft.
Chisholm, 26, recorded seven points (1g, 6a) in 26 games with the Capitals in 2025-26, his first with the team. In 125 career NHL games, Chisholm has registered 28 points (6g, 22a).
