In 80 total games with the program last season, including 23 in the USHL, Stuart recorded 45 points (13g, 32a). He also played for Team USA at the under-18 World Junior Championship, scoring one goal in five games.

The 18-year-old center is the son of Brad Stuart, who played more than 1,000 NHL games and was the third overall pick in the 1998 NHL Draft, also in Buffalo.

NHL Central Scouting had Stuart listed as the 127th-best North American skater in their final rankings.
