Brewers star outfielder Jackson Chourio leaves vs. Cubs with apparent injury

After racing out to a 9-1 lead in Game 1 of the NLDS, the early excitement for the Milwaukee Brewers was tempered by an injury to one of their top players.
Star outfielder Jackson Chourio was forced to exit with two outs in the second inning after legging out an infield single.
Manager Pat Murphy said during an in-game interview that the team is concerned that Chourio reaggravated a hamstring injury from the regular season.
“He had a hamstring that kept him out a month,” Murphy said. “And it’s the same hamstring, so we’re worried about it.”
Chourio, who missed significant time this season with the injury, was visited by a Brewers trainer and appeared to be in discomfort at first base. He was ultimately replaced by pinch-runner Isaac Collins.
Before being replaced, Chourio was leading the way for Milwaukee in growing its huge lead over the Chicago Cubs on Saturday afternoon.
He went 3-for-3 with two singles, a double and three RBIs, becoming the first player to have three hits in the first two innings of a post-season game, according to MLB.com’s Sarah Langs.
Chourio starred for the Brewers this season, posting a second straight 20-20 campaign to begin his career while carrying a .770 OPS.
