Cicero, N.Y. – A New York-based chain of Mexican restaurants wants to open a second location in Onondaga County.
Mi Rancho Alegre, which operates a location on Lawrence Road in North Syracuse, is proposing to open a restaurant in Bridgeport in the town of Cicero.
The North Syracuse location is on the site of a former’s Denny’s restaurant. It opened in December 2025.
The chain wants to open another restaurant in the spot where the former Bridgeport Dinner was located, 7991 Route 31.
Plans call for a complete interior and exterior renovation of the existing building, said Mark Marzullo, who chairs the town of Cicero planning board. The proposal also calls for adding a patio.
The building is 2,711 square feet. Plans for the interior work have not yet been presented to the planning board, Marzullo said.
The chain operates five other restaurants across the state, including one in Rochester.
The restaurant‘s menu includes enchiladas, tacos, burritos, chimichangas, tostadas and tamales.
