Second-alarm mass casualty declared after bus crashes into building in Pikesville

PIKESVILLE, Md. (WBFF) — Crews are on the scene of a mass casualty event after an MTA bus crashed into a building in Pikesville on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department.
On June 8, around 7:00 p.m., authorities confirmed that 28 people were injured, with one critical patient extricated from the bus and transported.
The incident occurred in the 1500 block of Reisterstown Road.

A second mass-casualty incident alarm was declared, officials said.
A medevac helicopter and Shock Trauma GoTeam were sent to the scene, and BGE due to downed power lines.
Seven other vehicles were involved, including one that rolled over. One person was trapped inside a car.
Howard County and Anne Arundel County ambulances are on scene, and all patients were transported as of 7:18 p.m.
The Maryland State Highway Administration stated that MD 140 Reisterstown Road, both Northbound and southbound, between Old Court Road and Sudbrook Lane was closed as crews responded to this incident.
