NBA Shares New 2026-27 Salary Cap Projection

The NBA has shared an updated salary cap projection for the 2026-27 season with its member franchises. The new number comes in at $165 million, a million lower than originally forecasted for the season. Shams Charania of ESPN shared the news via X today.

Per Charania, the decline is due to a reduction in local revenue.

The Blazers have an approximately $172 million dedicated to their active players and dead-cap contracts for the 2026-27 season currently. That number does not include cap holds for veterans Matisse Thybulle and Robert Williams III.
