Man charged with preventing burial of woman’s body in Bournemouth

A man arrested following the discovery of a woman’s body in Bournemouth has been charged with preventing her burial.

Mackala Higgins, 51, was found dead at a property in Paddington Grove on 1 July.

Richard Ball, 56, from Bournemouth is due before Southampton magistrates on Wednesday charged with preventing the lawful and decent burial of a dead body.

Dorset Police said a cordon remained in place at the property while the investigation continues.

A woman in her 30s, also from Bournemouth, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released under investigation as inquiries continue, police said.
