Iranians unfurl banner with Trump assassination threat at Ayatollah Khamenei’s burial

Banners vowing revenge against President Trump for the death of Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei were on full display during his burial ceremony on Thursday.
Crowds across Mashhad were seen demanding Trump’s assassination while waving large banners that called for their leader to be avenged.
One placard, held by dozens of Khamenei’s sycophants, read, “WE WILL KILL TRUMP.”

The message was splayed with an image of Iran’s so-called “fist of defiance,” which represents Tehran’s refusal to back down to foreign powers.
Elsewhere crowds shouted, “I swear by the blood of the Supreme Leader, Trump, we will kill you!”
The message echoes ongoing threats mourners have displayed during Khamenei’s weeklong funeral procession across Iran.
The signs all vowed revenge against Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for Khamenei’s death.

The former supreme leader was killed in Israeli strikes in the opening salve of attacks against Iran on Feb. 28. The bombing also killing several family members and wounding his son and current leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, who has yet to be seen in public.
Khamenei and his four relatives who were killed alongside him have been paraded through Tehran, the holy city of Qom and the Iraqi shrine cities of Najaf and Karbala.
While a full cease-fire was initially set to take place during Khamenei’s funeral, Iran’s attacks in the Strait of Hormuz have triggered tit-for-tat strikes in the Middle East that continued on Thursday.
