Bastille Day 2026 in Verneuil-sur-Seine (78): fireworks canceled, festivities go ahead
On the occasion of National Day 2026, Verneuil-sur-Seine puts the blue, white and red in the spotlight with its Castle Ball, a festive and convivial evening with a multitude of free activities, despite the fireworks being cancelled on July 13.
Due to the red heatwave alert, the drought warning, and the prefectural order banning fireworks issued by the Yvelines prefecture, the castle ball is adapting!
Given the significant fire risks, the safety of all spectators and organizers remains our top priority.
Every July 14, France lights up with joy, of course! In Paris as throughout Île-de-France, the National Day is an unmissable gathering that blends republican tradition with festive spirit. The classics? The military parade on the Champs-Élysées, the grand fireworks display launched from the Eiffel Tower, the popular balls rocking the four corners of the capital, not to forget the legendary firefighters’ balls that set the dance floor on fire – in the region’s firehouses. E
And beyond the ring road, the towns of Île-de-France keep the tempo: street performances, local fireworks, concerts, and family-friendly activities turn every commune into a tiny, three-colour celebration. A joyful, inclusive, and intergenerational tradition where music, dance and conviviality brighten the summer!
In Verneuil-sur-Seine, a charming town in the Yvelines (78) nestled between the Seine and the forests, the National Day celebration sticks to tradition with a new edition of its Bal au Château!
