Aramco to launch first branded fuel station in the Philippines

Opening follows the company’s investment in Unioil and marks Aramco’s return to the Philippine retail fuel market after 17 years.
Aramco is set to open its first branded fuel station in the Philippines, expanding its presence in Southeast Asia’s downstream fuel sector following its investment in Unioil Petroleum Philippines.
The company is scheduled to inaugurate the site in Parañaque City, marking the first Aramco-branded retail location in the country. The launch comes after the Saudi energy giant acquired a 25% stake in Unioil in 2025 as part of its strategy to grow its international retail network and strengthen its position in high-growth markets.
Through the partnership, Unioil is introducing Aramco-branded fuels and Valvoline lubricants to Philippine consumers. The new station represents the first visible step in bringing the company’s retail brand to the local market.
Aramco previously operated in the Philippines through a stake in Petron but exited the investment years ago. The opening of the new station signals the company’s return to the country’s fuel retail sector after a 17-year absence.
The Philippines is viewed as an attractive growth market due to rising fuel demand and a large network of service stations. The partnership allows the company to leverage Unioil’s established presence while expanding its global downstream footprint.
The Parañaque opening is expected to be the first of a wider rollout of retail offerings in the Philippines, as the company seeks to build its presence in one of Southeast Asia’s growing fuel markets.
