New Footage: Merab Shot First In RAF Brawl!

Further details and new footage have emerged from the Real American Freestyle (RAF) brawl in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Later today (July 11, 2026), former UFC champions Merab Dvalishvili vs. Henry Cejudo will wrestle in the main event of the RAF Georgia event. “The Machine” already got warmed up yesterday, however, when he ended up in the center of a wild scuffle featuring about 50 fans and fellow wrestlers. Initially, the exact cause of the commotion was unclear, only that one of Umar Nurmagomedov’s friends allegedly confronted Dvalishvili over some of their trash talk.

Well, the video below clears up several things. In fact, Nurmagomedov’s friend was Ahmed Gadzhimagomedov, a bronze medalist in World Wrestling Championships and training partner of Umar. When the two came face-to-face, Dvalishvili grabbed his opponent’s throw and then punched him in the face!
Check it out:
Dvalishvili is a noted hothead who once sliced up his own face by diving into an icy lake, so this isn’t exactly a surprising development. Nurmagomedov, meanwhile, responded to the brawl online.
“On the Caucasus, a man is defined by honor, dignity, and hospitality,” Nurmagomedov wrote on X. “My friend only asked why you were talking behind someone’s back. I don’t need to insult you to feel like a man.Who you really are is shown when there’s no crowd and no one to step in.”
Regardless of the chaos, Dvalishvili vs. Cejudo and the rest of the RAF Georgia card will continue on as planned tonight. Stay tuned for highlights … and very possibly another brawl!
