The final day of the ISCO Championship looked promising on paper — 10 players within four strokes of Lucas Glover atop the leaderboard after three rounds.
Sure enough, the second installment of the PGA Tour stop at Hurstbourne Country Club ended in dramatic fashion.
Steven Fisk bested Taylor Pendrith in a sudden-death playoff Sunday, July 12, at Hurstbourne Country Club for his second career PGA Tour win. The 29-year-old Atlanta native will leave Louisville with $720,000, 300 FedEx Cup points and a two-year PGA Tour exemption.
It took three additional trips down Hole 18 to break the tie. Pendrith bogeyed, then Fisk sealed the deal with a roughly 3-foot par putt — a bit of redemption after he missed a 21-footer for birdie on Hole 17 that would have given him sole possession of first place.
Ben Silverman and Aaron Wise shared third place at 15-under 265.
Glover slipped into a three-way tie for fourth place at 14-under 266, with Davis Chatfield and Kristoffer Ventura. The 46-year-old Greenville, South Carolina, native had five bogeys during his 1-over final round after going 41 consecutive holes without one to begin the event.
All eight of the Kentuckians in the field failed to make the cut. Louisville native Cooper Musselman, a St. Xavier graduate, had the best showing of the bunch at 2-under 138 through two rounds.
