UFC Qatar undercard filling out; Aleksandre Topuria books second fight

The UFC has begun filling out the undercard for its upcoming debut in Doha, Qatar.
After UFC president Dana White announced an Arman Tsarukyan vs. Dan Hooker main event and a Belal Muhammad vs. Ian Machado Garry co-main event, the organization confirmed a slew of undercard bouts.
Aleksandre Topuria, the brother of reigning lightweight titleholder Ilia Topuria, is set for his second UFC appearance when he takes on Bekzat Almakhan in bantamweight action on the Nov. 22 Fight Night card.
Topuria won a unanimous decision over Colby Thicknesse in his organizational debut in February at UFC 312. The 29-year-old improved to 6-1 with the win. Topuria took a six-year hiatus from competition following a 2015 loss during which he helped his brother develop into a world champion before returning to the cage as a fighter in 2021. He has won four in a row since his comeback.
Almakhan, 28, is coming off a 64-second knockout of Brad Katona at UFC 315 in May after losing his short-notice debut to Umar Nurmagomedov in 2024.
Former flyweight title challenger Alex Perez is set to take on Asu Almabayev, plus ranked light-heavyweights Volkan Oezdemir and Alonzo Menifield will square off.
The card will also feature the return of Kyoji Horiguchi. The 34-year-old former RIZIN and Bellator MMA champion will face Tagir Ulanbekov in a flyweight bout. Horiguchi has competed at both 135 pounds (bantamweight) and 125 pounds (flyweight) throughout his professional career and is unbeaten since 2022. He has not lost whilst competing at flyweight since a 2015 UFC title fight against Demetrious Johnson.
