In Woking’s second fixture of pre-season, they host EFL Championship side Portsmouth at the Laithwaite Community Stadium.
Goals from new signing Ashley Clarke and Caleb Richards secured victory against Sholing FC on the south coast.
A clash against John Mousinho’s Portsmouth sees a repeat of last season’s pre-season fixture. The away side won 2-0 in the previous match between the two sides.
In a similar vein to the match against Sholing FC, it is expected that both youngsters and senior squad members will feature in the match.

Opposition Watch
As Portsmouth are set to play their first pre-season match, John Mousinho’s side are readying themselves for a third consecutive season in the Championship. Mousinho has had a successful spell with the side so far and will look to continue in that manner in a bid to stay in the Championship.
The away side have lost some notable figures this summer, including Andre Dozzell and Jordan Archer. Dozzell was a regular feature for the side over the past two seasons, after joining in the summer of 2024. As a result, Portsmouth have entered the transfer market to bolster their squad, acquiring the likes of Eoin Kenny and Odin Bailey.
After winning League One in the 2023/24 season, Portsmouth have finished 16th and then 18th as they continue their stay in the Championship.

Ticket Prices are as follows: £14/£16 for Adults, £12/£14 for Concessions, £10/£12 for Next Gens, £8/£10 for Under 17’s and £3/£4 for Unders 14’s (standing/sitting), with cheaper tickets available for season ticket holders.
Food and drink will be available around the ground.
One to Watch
Adrian Segecic topped the scoring and assisting charts for Portsmouth last season, registering 11 goals and four assists. The young Croatian had an eye-catching season for the club, drawing interest with his productivity and creative flair. Segecic remains an asset for John Mousinho’s side this campaign.
