Jax Taylor hasn’t been the number-one guy in the group in a long time now. Vanderpump Rules has moved on with a new generation of SURvers, and he was dropped from the spinoff show, The Valley, amid his contentious split with Brittany Cartwright. And yet, he has once again managed to make himself the center of attention due to his romantic choices. On Monday, TMZ published photos of Taylor getting cozy with his and Cartwright’s longtime shared publicist, Lori Krebs.
The pictures show Taylor and Krebs with their arms around each other in the pool at a hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Apparently, they were with a large group of friends celebrating Taylor’s birthday, which is on July 11.
Rumors that Taylor and Krebs were hooking up started surfacing back in February 2024, around the same time that Taylor and Cartwright announced their separation. (Cartwright filed for divorce in August of that year.) At the time, Taylor and Cartwright both denied the rumors on their podcast, responding to pictures Taylor and Krebs posted of each other on Instagram. “She’s our publicist and a very, very good friend of mine, so a photo like that — people I know were saying a lot of crap about it — but it really wasn’t that big of a deal,” Cartwright said.
According to sources cited by “Page Six,” Cartwright feels especially betrayed by Krebs at this time, because she no longer “expects much” from her estranged husband. The source also added that Cartwright “chose to believe” Krebs when she told her there was nothing going on two years ago. According to TMZ, Cartwright has now fired Krebs as her publicist, though this has yet to be confirmed.
All I will say now is that after watching Jax Taylor on television for 13 years, none of this surprises me.
