A tornado warning issued for an area northeast of Calgary on Tuesday night has been lifted.
The warning, issued by Environment Canada at 7:44 p.m., covered a section of Starland County and the communities of Delia, Hanna, Richdale and Spondin. It was lifted at 8:13 p.m.
The weather agency said a severe thunderstorm was being tracked southwest of Lawsonburg, approximately 140 kilometres northeast of Calgary.
As of 8:30 p.m., Environment Canada had multiple severe weather warnings and watches in effect in different parts of Alberta, including some tornado watches.
