Conor McGregor Gives Injury Update Ahead of Surgery, Wants Result Change in Holloway Fight

Conor McGregor revealed on Instagram that he will have results on a scan of his leg on Thursday after he suffered a right knee injury during his fight against Max Holloway at UFC 329. He also said the fight result should be changed from a Holloway TKO victory to a no-contest.

McGregor, who was partaking in his first UFC fight since 2021, attempted a jumping kick with his left leg. However, he then landed awkwardly on his right leg, and the fight was stopped after 69 seconds.

Looking ahead, McGregor is set for surgery and looking to return to the Octagon to complete the final fight of his contract.

After surgery, McGregor said he plans to rehab, return to practice and get ready for that bout.

McGregor’s last time in the Octagon prior UFC 329 was in July 2021, when he faced Dustin Poirier. He suffered a fractured left ankle, leading to a first round TKO loss.

In the present, McGregor told fans that he didn’t have any pre-existing injuries heading into the fight.

Now McGregor is on the road to recovery as he hopes to come back and fight again.
