‘The Boy’s A Bit Special’ Everton teen waiting to be unleashed after breakout season

In FourFourTwo magazine, Joe Donnohue has some nice things to say about the boy who’s a bit special:

In a way, David Moyes robbed Football League spectators of what could have been one of the most ‘streets won’t forget’ seasons from Dibling in a Southampton shirt, but we’re happy to have him in the Premier League.

The 19-year-old has had his fair share of clubs, including a brief spell at Chelsea’s renowned Cobham academy, but Southampton has always proven to be his safe space and ultimately the launchpad.

The Everton teenager has an excellent command of the ball at his feet, not breaking stride, smoothly moving through the gears in a way which suggests he should be stoppable, but often isn’t. Dibling eats ground in an elegant manner, carrying the ball seamlessly.

It should be a massive opportunity for him today but we all know the form.

Despite last season, he’s still ‘not ready’ to be unleashed on the Premier League in a Blue shirt… is he, Mr Moyes?

And there was me thinking Harrison Armstrong must be doing well at Preston, or is he still on their bench, and maybe one day we’ll see somebody from the Academy getting a run out or at least a spot on our own bench.
