A win and a draw were the outcomes, but City’s focus has been on stepping up their fitness and blowing out the cobwebs, with tonight’s game seeing the dial shift more towards football.

For St Gallen, this clash marks their final pre-season game before competitive action as they prepare for a Europa League qualifier against Benfica next Thursday.

This is a dress rehearsal ahead of the season’s start, a tough test for Clement’s men as they aim to add intensity to their game before their competitive opener against MK Dons on August 8 in the Carabao Cup.
